News Trib 07/18/10 – River Games gets ‘perfect’ day

OTTAWA – The second annual River Games at Heritage Harbor in Ottawa brought the heat and a slightly larger crowd than last year, with around 80 participants receiving free wakeboarding lessons by the end of the day, ranging in age from 5 years to over 50.

Professional wakeboarders from All-Action Sports and Wakeboard Chicago gave instructions and free pulls 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 3-6 p.m. using boats from Chicago MasterCraft and Quest Water Sports. Rider/trainer Mark Michelini with All-Action Sports said the weather was perfect for the event. “Nice and hot, perfect summer day,” he said. “Everybody wants to get in the water and have a good time, so it’s been a really good day.”
